(Graduation December 2005)
Right now I am sitting in Logan, this beautiful town we used to call home. I don't think I appreciated the beauty back then, to be honest I hated it here, but I think that had more to do with our situation then the actual town.
In 2003 Rob graduated from Dixie and was accepted into the engineering program at Utah State so we packed everything we had and moved from the south end of the state to the north end. Samantha was 6 months old and we were very poor college students, but we did our best.
I didn't know many people, I had a brand new baby, and Rob was gone a lot. School was very demanding and he was doing his best to manage that and a new family. 2 1/2 years went by and before we knew it he was done. We said goodbye to Logan and moved onto our next adventure.
6 1/2 years later, Rob and I are nearing our 10 year anniversary, and it still feels like this crazy adventure of our just started yesterday. But then I am reminded of how far we have come and how our relationship has been tried and tested over the years. I am reminded that we are better for it and our relationship is so much stronger than it was here in Logan so long ago.
Rob is on his way back from Oregon right now, he went with his cousins to hike Mt. Hood, and I am looking forward to him coming home. I sure do miss him and can't wait to be able to sleep again because he is in the same bed.
10 years and I am entirely to dependent on his presence, but I wouldn't change it for anything.
