Spring Break

Monday, April 14, 2014

Right now I am sitting in my quiet house enjoying a Diet Coke, my reward and my kick start to what needs to be done today.

My three sweet kids are back at school and my handsome hubs is back at work. We are now getting ready to jump head first into the end of the school year activities and the beginning of softball season.

Life is about to get crazy.

Spring break was nothing too exciting, we hung around the house and worked on the yard all week. The sprinkler system is almost installed in the front yard and the back yard will have to wait until next year and possibly many years following. It is a little daunting to think about putting sprinklers in an entire acre and we are still trying to figure out exactly what we want to do back there.

The kids were a huge help with the sprinklers, Hannah has a new determination to ride her bike thanks to her other friends in the neighborhood, Samantha worked on riding her long board, and the kids spent a lot of time out on the little 4 wheeler until it broke.

The poor 4 wheeler has survived 5 years of abuse from our kids and cousins, but sadly this time it may not be able to be fixed. This is very sad news for my three kiddos.

Spring break also made me realize I have a huge list I want to accomplish before school lets out for summer.

I better get started. Enjoy you Monday!!

I can't really explain to you how much we are loving the warmer weather other then we are really LOVING IT!! So when faced with another nice weekend we loaded up the 4-wheelers and headed out to our favorite sandy spot to do some riding, roast some hot dogs, and make smores. Otherwise known as the perfect Saturday!!

Winter Fun In The Desert

Monday, December 30, 2013

We were grateful for a fairly warm weather on Saturday and decided to take advantage of it. We packed all the kids up and called Rob's sister to see if they would be up for a day in the desert riding four-wheelers and shooting targets.

The kids had a blast driving the little red 4-wheeler, riding on and being pulled behind the big 4 wheelers, building a fire, eating snacks, and shooting their BB guns.

I had gummy bears in my pocket, she thought she could steal them, teach her to mess with Mom.

It was a good day, we are hoping for a few more this winter, it is nice to get out and enjoy some fresh air!!
