Carving Pumpkins

Monday, November 3, 2014

Earlier this year we planted our own little pumpkin patch, little did we know how big those pumpkins would get, or how many we would actually grow. I think we had 17 pumpkins total, and there were a bunch of sizes to choose from from small to huge.

The kiddos each picked out their favorite pumpkin from the patch: Hunter's was misshaped and he was determined to make it into a zombie, Samantha picked the biggest white pumpkin in the patch, and Hannah's was big and perfectly shaped.

Rob used his nifty tool (the pumpkin gutter) to clean those pumpkins out real quick, the kids drew faces, and then Rob went to work carving them.

They turned out perfect and plans are already under way for next year's pumpkin patch.
