Project Pinned: Chocolate Marshmallow Fluff Fondue

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I mentioned our favorite new Valentine's tradition is chocolate fondue, last year I think all I did was melt chocolate chips in the pot and add some milk to thin it. This year I found a recipe on Pinterest and knew we were going to try it.

The recipe we used is Chocolate Marshmallow Fluff fondue from A Year of Slow Cooking.

I didn't make mine in a crockpot like she did. Instead I added all the ingredients straight to my fondue pot, turned it to the lowest setting, and stirred it often until it was melted and warm.

I started it right before we sat down for dinner and it was ready by the time we had dinner cleaned up.

I added in more chocolate, it seemed like a waste to not use the entire bar, and I had some extra dark baking chocolate in the pantry that needed to be used. I also added a bit more cream because it was pretty thick.

The Verdict: It was so good!! And we loved the flavor of the marshmallow fluff, and how it helped the chocolate stick to the fruit and treats we were dipping. Plus the three different chocolates was delicious.

I may have to find another excuse to make this fondue soon, it was that good.
