To Do In Utah: Festival of Lights

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

When I was a kid one of my favorite traditions was my Dad loading us all up in the van and driving around town looking at all of the Christmas lights. Driving in the car with my kids is one of my least favorite activities and I only have three, my Dad had to put up with 6 kids, but I am thankful he did it every year!!

We don't live in a small town so there is a lot more area to cover to find great light displays and my kids get bored quickly. Last year we found the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork, they have the park all decked out with tons of light displays and Christmas music playing, the kids love it.

We make cookies and stop at the gas station for Hot Chocolate to enjoy as we drive through the park.

This year we had to stop at three different gas stations before we found a working Hot Chocolate machine. We should have just hit Jake's first, next year we will know better!!

The kids "oohed" and "aahed" over all the different light displays, they sang along with the music, and have asked every night since if we can please go and look at the lights again.
