Happy New Year

Thursday, January 1, 2015

We spent the night ringing in the New Year with our favorite 'Ahos, Grandma and Grandpa Morris, and Mike and Lea's family. It was quiet and easy going, just the way I like my New Year's. Not to mention all of the great food.

We had planned on doing a white elephant with the entire group but then decided just to let the kids play. Best. Idea. Ever. It was so entertaining watching them all get excited when they could steal the gift they wanted, snatch a good one out of the middle, or groan when they had to put one back. I am not the biggest white elephant fan, but I would do that again in a heart beat.

We have been so blessed in 2014 and we are looking forward to what 2015 has in store for our little family.

Pumpkin Patch

Sunday, June 1, 2014

Grandma Morris wasn't ready to plant a pumpkin patch at her house this year and asked if we could plant it at our house. Since we have an entire back yard full of dirt we agreed to plant them here this year.

Our 'Aho cousins came over to help and we are hopeful we will have a pretty good crop this year. The only challenge may be keeping the deer from eating them so we decicded to plant them close to the house and move Daisey down by the plants to hopefully scare them away.

We also added some squash and zucchini along with a few tomato plants up on the deck, it is the best I can do this year until we cab figure out our permanent garden spot.

The kids got rewarded with dinner at Chuck-a-rama, which is always fun when you are with your cousins.

Weekend At The Sand Dunes

Monday, February 24, 2014

I can't really explain to you how much we are loving the warmer weather other then we are really LOVING IT!! So when faced with another nice weekend we loaded up the 4-wheelers and headed out to our favorite sandy spot to do some riding, roast some hot dogs, and make smores. Otherwise known as the perfect Saturday!!

Winter Fun In The Desert

Monday, December 30, 2013

We were grateful for a fairly warm weather on Saturday and decided to take advantage of it. We packed all the kids up and called Rob's sister to see if they would be up for a day in the desert riding four-wheelers and shooting targets.

The kids had a blast driving the little red 4-wheeler, riding on and being pulled behind the big 4 wheelers, building a fire, eating snacks, and shooting their BB guns.

I had gummy bears in my pocket, she thought she could steal them, teach her to mess with Mom.

It was a good day, we are hoping for a few more this winter, it is nice to get out and enjoy some fresh air!!
