The Week Before Kindergarten Instagramed

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

My baby starts kindergarten today, how did that happen?!?!? Lucky for me there was a week between when the older two started and when kindergarten started so we could enjoy a few more days together.

Although the entire week she would tell me how many days until she started school, so I think it is safe to say she is very excited.

And I have to admit it is bittersweet, I am looking forward to the almost 4 hours without kids so I can get things done, but I am also sad they grew up so fast.

Here is an instagram recap of our week all in one place.

01. Picked Max out a new toy
02. Doing her very first homework assignment
03. Reward for being so good while I finished some shopping
04. Lunch at Pretzel Maker
05. Waiting to see the speech therapist
06. Milkshakes, a suggestion from the speech therapist to help her say her "r" sound
07. Playing outside with Daisey and Max, showing me how she can pump on the swings
08. Fun at the splash pad with friends

The week flew by, but it was so much fun while it lasted.

This Week Instagramed

Sunday, June 24, 2012

I have felt very blessed this week, it was crazy, busy, packed with fun, and just what I needed to pull me out of the slump I have been in. Of course I had my phone and instagram along for the ride.

We have spent a lot of time at the pool, the kids started swim lessons this week and I get to spend some time reading or playing online. This has taken up a lot of our mornings.

Tuesday we spent the afternoon with my friend and her kids who live in Alaska. I sure do miss her, but I was thankful for the time we did get to spend together. It didn't take long for our kids to get reacquainted and have a ball together so we could enjoy some time to catch up.

We are almost to the end of ball season, Tuesday we had overlapping games so I took Hunter to Tball and Rob took Samantha to Softball. We made it to the tail end of Sams game and I was able to see her bat, she still hasn't hit but was walked this time.

Wednesday I met my Mom and all my siblings at the zoo, we went last summer and decided to make it our tradition every year. We loved the new polar bear exhibit and it was awesome to all be together.

My Mom came back to stay at my house so she could watch the kids ball games. We stopped at the Wood Connection to pick up a project for Thursday afternoon. I love when my Mom comes because I have someone to do projects with.

Friday I decided to give Daisey a good shave, it was going to be HOT and she is still trying to shed her winter coat. She is such a good dog and sat still the entire time. She look so much better and I am sure she felt better.

We decided to take the kids to Seven Peaks that afternoon. Rob took the older two on the slides while Hannah and I hung out at the kids pool. It was crazy busy but the kids still had fun.

Rob and I had been passing each other all week, he was busy with work and I was running around with the kids, we decided we needed a dinner all to ourselves.

Saturday Rob hiked Timp and I stayed home and accomplished a huge "to do" list before the start of another busy week.

Today we have relaxed, Church was amazing and I can't wait to dive into this talk that was mentioned in Sacrament meeting a bit more this week.
We are also loving the Olympic Trials, so excited for July!!

My Day As Seen By Instagram

Saturday, June 2, 2012

Started my morning with the 80s, sure love the music channels

Found the basement had flooded, called the landlord but he didn't answer just had to leave it.

Driving to Brigham City to pick up my niece and nephews so they could come and play while their parents moved their stuff to Utah County.

Trailer loaded and on the road, 20 miles later I see smoke and we pull over and find the axle has shifted, we sat in a Walgreens parking lot for 2 hours with 6 kids trying to get it all fixed.

At least there was a gas station so we had Red Vines, Bugles, and Water to try and keep us happy.

20 miles later the tire blew, scariest thing in the world is seeing smoke go flying and wondering if your husband will be able to make it to the side of the road while you watch helplessly from a car behind him.

Thankfully he made it to the side, the spare didn't fit and he had to go in search of a replacement tire. He sent the Me, the three girls, and baby Jax on our way so we wouldn't have to wait too. My Brother in Law stayed with him to help.

Made it home and tried to keep busy so I didn't have to think about blown tires and my husband and son not making it home.

I also got to deal with the carpet mess on my own and I wanted to scream. I didn't want to burden Rob anymore so I took to Twitter to rant and then I felt much better.

At 8:30 they made it down here, making the 2 hour trip take 8. They unloaded and it was 10 before we all came home and crashed.

I would have taken another picture of him home but all I wanted to do was snuggle up to him. At midnight we hit McDonalds for breakfast hoping to put the entire day behind us.

My poor hubs who doesn't usually let things bug him said it was one of the worst days of his life. I couldn't agree more, I was just thankful he was home safe with me.

On my way to Salt Lake (alone) to spend some Birthday money

Waiting for Instagram to finally come to Android felt like an eternity, and now that I finally have it I can't get enough, it is my favorite App.

This is what my 30th Birthday looked like from my very overused Instgram account.

I look forward to my birthday meal every year, we went Friday

completely done with the twin home.

My Birthday Ice Cream cake. Brownies, Ice cream, Chocolate
Ganosh, Samoa Girls Scout cookies, Cool Whip, and
 toasted coconut. SO GOOD!!
