Yesterday was my birthday and I am pretty sure it was one of the greatest days ever.

We are so busy lately, like bouncing from one thing to another until we all collapse into bed and then we get up the next morning to do it all over again. It is what this time of year brings, the final push of activities and programs before school ends and the beginning of summer sports.

But, by some miracle the day of my birthday we didn't have anything scheduled so we decided to take full advantage of it. Rob took the day off, the kids skipped school, and we headed out for one of our favorite hikes to the Hot Pots in Diamond Fork Canyon.

The weather was perfect and the water was so nice and relaxing.

We came home to shower and then headed out to dinner at another favorite, Tucanos.

I was spoiled by my husband, kids, family, and wonderful friends. It truly was one of the best days ever!!

Bridal Veil Falls

Thursday, August 15, 2013

The kids and I have been wanting to hike to Bridal Veil Falls and we decided today was the perfect day before school starts next week. I handed Hannah the camera to document our hike and she did a great job!!

This cute kid decided to let his flip flop float down the river never to be seen again, it was a very uncomfortable walk back to the car. I don't think he will do that again, at least I hope not.

Mt Timpanogos

Thursday, July 11, 2013

One of Samantha's summer goals was to hike Mt. Timpanogos, it is 16 miles round trip, and not an easy hike. Rob, Samantha, and Hunter decided July 5th was the day they would conquer the mountain. They woke up at 5:30 am and returned home at 8:00 pm dirty, tired, hungry, sore, and so excited that they had made it.

Rob thinks he can convince Hannah and I to hike Timp with them, everyone has to have a dream I guess.
