I Love To See The Temple

Monday, January 30, 2012

I love a project and I feel like I am always wanting to start a new one (if I could figure out how to finish them I would be golden) and I have been looking for a photography project for a while. I love taking pictures of my kids but sometimes I think they get a little tired of Mom and her camera. I don't know where the idea came from but the other night I decided I wanted to start taking pictures of the temples.
I love the temple and I always thought it would be fun to see how many temples we could visit in our lifetime, so I thought why not photograph them along the way.

Today seemed like a good day to start and since we were heading up to American Fork to check out a location for Samantha's birthday shoot on Saturday I decided the Mount Timpanogos Temple would be a good start. Plus the park was right next to the temple so it worked perfect to stop and take a few pictures.

I was standing in the road to take these pictures and it still was not far enough back, Rob was seriously worried I was going to be hit by a car. We are adding a wide angle lens to our wish list for my Temple pictures and the landscape pictures Rob loves to take. So thankfully I am starting with the Utah Temples so when I get better I can retake these. But I must say for my first attempt I am pretty happy with them and I am looking forward to taking the sidekicks to visit a few more Temples close by.
