Rob and I were asked to be in charge of the food for our ward Christmas party, we also had help from another couple in our ward. Rob instantly thought of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Joriel thought about getting it catered, which was really expensive, but I was determined to do something different. Thank heavens I work in a school with an amazing lunch lady. Sharon suggested breakfast burritos and then helped me put the bulk order together and ordered everything I needed. It couldn't have been easier.
The Friday before I cooked everything at the school and then brought it home where we made 268 breakfast burritos and then delivered them to wonderful ward family members who cooked them Saturday morning.
We also had french toast sticks and fruit which was a huge hit, and Tammy put on a delicious hot chocolate bar.
The primary children put on a Nativity for our Christmas program, Hunter was the cutest shepherd, and he did such a good job for getting his part the night before.
It was all very last minute, we are still a new ward, but man it worked out so well and the food tasted great. It really was a Christmas miracle.
